First Workshop on Text-Based Metrics and Indicators

About this workshop

Many scientists have disapproved of traditional research assessment systems such as publications, citations, and impact factors. Traditional metrics are obtrusive and based on human judgements, resulting in inconsistent and non-correlative results. In the rapidly evolving landscape of research assessment systems, the emergence and development of non-bibliographic indicators have marked a significant stride toward more reliable evaluation models.
This workshop aims to explore innovative research in the rapidly evolving field of text-based indicators, focusing on its integration and application within the broader scope of assessment systems. We warmly welcome submissions from all, regardless of their level of expertise, that demonstrate novel approaches, theoretical insights, and practical applications of text metrics and their role in advancing the field of research assessment systems.
You can submit the papers online on the submission page with a note on text-based metrics.
