The main idea is to give<br \/>\nthe Ph.D. candidates whose submissions have been accepted, an opportunity to discuss their<br \/>\ndoctoral projects with our Keynote Speakers from the STMet Community and the audience.<br \/>\nAttendance at the Doctoral Consortium will be based on the Doctoral Consortium PC acceptance<br \/>\nof a 6-page long abstract authored by the Ph.D. Candidate.<br \/>\nThe accepted abstracts will be presented in the STMet 2019 Poster Session and published<br \/>\nonline together with a full 12 pages long paper that the Ph.D. Candidates will have to submit by<br \/>\n(date). The paper will be reviewed by our PC and the Keynote Speakers who will attend the<br \/>\nDoctoral Consortium to give the Ph.D. Candidates a feedback about their work.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Important dates<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Abstract submission (up to 6 pages) with a Letter of Support from the Adviser<\/strong>:<\/span>\u00a0 June 20, 2019<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Notification:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> July 20, 2019<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Full paper submission (up to 12 pages):<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> August 10, 2019<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Doctoral Consortium Date:<\/strong><\/span> October 19\u00a0September 02, 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions for Authors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doctoral Consortium submissions must be emailed to the Doctoral Consortium Chair at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>stm at<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>socio.org.uk<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Submissions must be prepared in PDF format.<br \/>\nFull paper content guidelines<br \/>\nThe full paper will be the basis for detailed discussions at the Doctoral Consortium. The Ph.D.<br \/>\nCandidate\u2019s paper should include the following:<br \/>\nmotivation for the research proposed<br \/>\nthe background and related work (with key references) to convince about knowledge grounded<br \/>\nupon the literature study in the area<br \/>\ndescription of the proposed research including the research questions to be addressed, the<br \/>\nAuthor\u2019s contribution, the research methodology and the experiments proposed<br \/>\nat least five specific issues to be put forward for discussion.<br \/>\nThe Advisor should provide a brief description of the research group in which the Ph.D.<br \/>\nCandidate has been working and the relevance of that work to the group\u2019s research area.<br \/>\nThe students\u2019 full papers will be published online and electronically in the USB sticks<br \/>\nReview<\/p>\n<p>All submissions will be reviewed by the Doctoral Consortium Program Committee with respect to<br \/>\noverall quality of presentation, the potential for future impact of the proposed PhD research in the<br \/>\nfield of Real-Time Intelligent Systems and the potential benefits to the Ph.D. Candidate coming<br \/>\nfrom attendance at the Doctoral Consortium.<\/p>\n<p>Chair:<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Email: stm @ socio.org.uk<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STMet Doctoral Consortium 2019 STMet 2018 will feature a Doctoral Consortium on December 03, 2019.
