Professor Liu Zeyuan is the main pioneer and academic founder of Science of Science in China, and was appointed as the deputy director of the 3th, 4th, 5th Council of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy Research. He is the first Dean of the school of Humanities and social sciences in Dalian University of Technology. In 2010, he was awarded the title of the national outstanding scientific and technological worker and won the outstanding contribution award of the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy Research in 2017.
His research areas are Science of Science theory, Scientometrics and S&T management, development strategy and philosophy of technology. In China, he founded the first doctoral degree in Science and Science and S&T management, put forward the new concept of knowledge Metrology (1999) firstly, took the lead in naming and introducing the mapping of knowledge domain (2005) in China. He established WISE Lab through international cooperation, and pushed the study of Scientometrics in China to a great progress, and the WISE Lab is praised by Garfield, the father of SCI, as ‘one of the Scientometrics research centers in the world’. He is one of the earliest scholars to advocate and develop philosophy of technology in China, and is known as one of the four leading figures in the northeastern School.

Dr Mohammad Hasanzadeh, an ssociate Professor at Tarbiat Modares University, completed his PhD, in 2006 in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran on knowledge and Information Science (KIS). His main expertise is knowledge management and knowledge systems. Dr. Hassanzadeh has had many managerial and scientific positions. Director of the Center for the Development of Humanities Technologies, head, Humanities technologies Incubator, Head of Department, Business Intelligence (BI) Counseling, Cooperation with the public and private sector is part of his professional activities.
Along with the scientific activities, he has published more than 200 scientific papers in international journals, has published more than 30 book and supervised more than 200 master and Ph.D. students and has presented several lectures at national and international conferences. He has conducted several national and international conferences, including the International Conference on the popularization of Science and sustainable Development, co organized by the Center for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAMS&TC).
He has been the visiting professor of several universities as lecturer, Supervisor and thesis reviewer and has presented innovative ideas in the field of science and technology measurement and knowledge systems. His Special attention to the trends in science and technology and their role in formulating the national science and technology policy has led him to make a good network and joint investigations on this area for many years. Among his books are “Knowledge Management: concepts and infrastructures”, “Popularization of science from Theory to practice”, “Information Retrieval” and “Knowledge economy”.
Dr. Hassanzadeh is a well-known consultant to several national and international organizations in the field of formulating science and technology policies and has gained valuable experience. He was awarded several times for his research activity and works, the recent one is “the article of the year award 2017”, presented by Library and Information Science Society for Asia and the Pacific (LISSASPAC) He is currently director of Technology development and Transfer office, Modares S&T Park.
